Our HVAC Technicians Are

Trusted and Certified

Today’s heating and air conditioning is extremely complex, which means our installers and service technicians must be methodically educated and tested to demonstrate their thorough knowledge, skills, and capabilities in handling modern HVAC systems.

At Garber Heating & Air Conditioning we are continually investing in our technicians’ training and education, as well as the training and professional knowledge of our entire organization.

Geothermal Alliance of Illinois (GAIO)

A Trusted Geothermal Company

Geothermal Heating and Air Conditioning from an HVAC Expert You Can Trust

When you’re looking for a Geothermal heating and cooling system, it’s important to find a provider you can trust. Garber Heating & Air Conditioning is an Illinois expert in the Geothermal industry, and our accreditation by the Geothermal Alliance of Illinois (GOAI) proves it. Our installers and technicians have been trained and tested to ensure experience and solid manufacturing knowledge in Geothermal service and installation.

Why is this important to you? To put it simply, Geothermal systems are not like typical heating and air conditioning systems. They require a different skill set and a specific engineered install. When you are investing in a brand new home comfort system, you want to make sure it will last. Poor installation and maintenance of your new Geothermal heating and a/c system can end up costing you much more time and money in the long run.

Typical HVAC installers and service technicians have not been trained to properly install and maintain Geothermal systems. We take pride in knowing the Garber Heating & Air Conditioning team is Geothermal certified. When you invest in a Garber Geothermal System, you are getting an HVAC system that is engineered, installed and maintained by people you can trust.

Technical Resources & Training

Union Pride, Union Workers

The Sheet Metal & Air Conditioning Contractors’ National Association (SMACNA) is a union dedicated to the quality and excellence of sheet metal trades, including HVAC. They focus on developing the industry standards and training manuals which are accepted worldwide.

By providing in depth technical resources and training, SMACNA assists contractors in finding tradespeople who are trained, tested and certified under the union guidelines. This ensures that the technician who comes to your door is educated and well versed in the internationally accepted industry standards and best practices. When you hire union, you know you are getting best in the field, technicians who are trained through an international curriculum.

For us at Garber Heating, we believe it is important to be a union contractor. We take pride in knowing our employees are tackling jobs they were trained to do, and in-turn delivering a product our clients can be happy with. Since both our commercial and residential installers and service technicians are union, we are able to focus our efforts in giving back to the industry as well, training new apprentices under our experienced employees, creating more jobs, and giving back to our community and nation by employing hardworking Americans.

North American Technician Excellence (NATE)

Skilled, Trained and Tested

Developing Respected, Trusted and Honest Technicians through NATE Certification

North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is the largest certification program in the United States of America. Its goal is to train and certify technicians who work in all areas of Heating, Ventilation, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration (HVACR), all of which come into play when installing and servicing home comfort systems as well as business and restaurant refrigeration systems. At Garber Heating & Air Conditioning, we employ and train our Service Technicians to qualify and be certified in the NATE program.
