Chilly weather is upon us here in Tazewell County.

Is your Morton, IL, home or business prepared for the frosty slide into winter? When you switch your heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) thermostat to heat, your furnace should be clean, inspected, and ready to operate at peak performance for the next several months.

Preventative maintenance is the only way to prepare your heating system to work safely and efficiently through winter.

At Garber Heating & Air Conditioning, we believe the best time for a tune-up is early fall before you use your furnace daily. Learn why.

When Is It Best to Schedule Furnace Maintenance?

Professional maintenance can be performed on your furnace at any time of the year. It is worth the investment.

But the best time to schedule it is in the fall, right before the weather gets too cold. You want to be sure you can depend on your heating system when you need it.

A fall furnace tune-up lets our Garber Heating & Air Conditioning professionals catch any minor issues and resolve them immediately. You will enjoy optimal comfort and peace of mind knowing your system is running safely and efficiently.

Here’s How a Fall Tune-Up Helps:

  • System Safety
This is a prime reason to inspect your heating system before putting it into service. During a tune-up, our expert technicians inspect components for wear and damage that might jeopardize your well-being. For example, a cracked heat exchanger in your gas furnace could trigger a deadly carbon monoxide (CO) leak.We inspect the gas line for leaks and ensure safety controls operate correctly. We also check electrical wiring and connections on both furnaces and heat pumps.
  • Catching Problems Early
Running your heating system when it needs furnace repairs or cleaning is risky. Damaged or worn components you could easily swap out now may grow into big, costly problems or even a breakdown in a month or two as your system continues to operate.Fall maintenance ensures all necessary repairs are complete before your furnace begins working 24/7.
  • Better Weather
Why is this important? We turn off your furnace while cleaning or repairing it. Schedule maintenance now for a more comfortable experience during milder weather, so you won’t be sitting in the cold during our visit!

Good afternoon,

Connor Salem came to my mom’s house last night on an emergency call. He was wonderful. Very friendly, explained everything as he went along. He seems to be an excellent employee, and I just wanted to pass that along.

Thank you

Deanna S.

“Had a Modine HD gas heater installed in my garage. Very good experience from the salesperson Terry who performed an estimate for the job and provided suggestions on heater placement as well as gas line, electric, exhaust flue and thermostat locations that would best fit my garage setup. Scheduling of the install was quick and timely. Install team of Mike and Aaron arrived around noon and went right to work on it completing the job in a timely 4 hours. They were courteous and skillful in placing exhaust piping through ceiling and out the roof along with running a gas line to the heater as well as installing the thermostat and tying into existing electrical connections in the garage. The install was done in a professional and efficient manner. Very satisfied with the installation and care taken to get it right the first time. Definitely would recommend their services to anyone needing a similar installation. They did an excellent job.”

“Isaac Rassi deserves a raise!!! I called Garber and within 15 minutes he arrives and immediately starts to try to diagnose the issue with our furnace. He found the issue within 15 minutes and explained to us exactly what the issue was and what the price was going to be. After he quickly fixed the issue he then explained everything in detail of what he did and gave us recommendations on future use. He was very polite and knowledgeable. If I was captain of a ship I”d want him on it. Thanks again…”
